PANCAKE SUPPER: Doors open at 4:45 p.m. for the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, and food will be blessed and served at 5 p.m. Clean up begins at 7 p.m. A free will offering will be taken to support projects of the Youth and Family Ministry.
ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICES: We will gather as a congregation to mark the beginning of the Lenten season with two services on Ash Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
LENTEN SUPPER AND SERVICE: During the weeks of Lent we will meet in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesday evenings. The evenings will start with a light supper at 6:00 p.m., and then at 7:00 p.m. we’ll have a brief Lenten service, followed at approximately 7:15 to 7:20 p.m. with a Lenten study. This year, we will investigate statements of faith, or “creeds,” including ancient and modern ones. Please mark your calendar and make these weekly observances part of your family’s Lenten preparations.
EVANGEL PRAYER GROUP: Do you know someone who has a heart for prayer and would enjoy being part of a prayer group? If you do, call Carroll Paul at 410-859-0891.
STEPHEN MINISTRY: As part of their continuing education, a guest speaker will be speaking on ‘Ministering to the Dying and Their Family’ from Session 19 of Training Manual 2. For those who are experiencing a really difficult time, our Stephen Ministers can provide the special encouragement, care and support. PEER SUPERVISION is on Tuesday, February 28 at 7 p.m. Stephen Leaders will meet on Tuesday, February 21 at 5:45 p.m.
EASTER CANDY SALE: Candy order forms will be available in the All Purpose Room throughout February. A WELCA rep will be on hand between services to take your orders/payments. Candy can be picked up on Palm Sunday, April 1st.
PRAYER BREAKFAST: Join the Women’s Club for their annual prayer breakfast on Tuesday, March 13 at 9:30 a.m. at Linthicum Heights UM Church. A donation of $10 is asked; for reservations and tickets, call Barbara Walter at 410-859-0151.
