NEWS FROM THE WELCA: We hope everyone had a pleasant summer and are looking forward to the start of another WELCA year. Our first meeting is set for 10:00 a.m. on the 13th of September in the Friendship Room. Breakfast will be provided by the Executive Committee.

The Community Fair is September 27th and WELCA will again have a bake table. Donations of baked goods from the congregation will be appreciated. If you can help, sign up on an upcoming yellow ministry sheet in the weekly bulletin, or call Lois King at 410-859-5314.

We will again be collecting shoe boxes for the Seafarers. The following is a list of suggested items; any or all of these items are appropriate to fill a box:

Toothpaste
Shaving cream
Soap
Hand cream
Pens
Disposable razors
Comb
Chapstick
Playing cards
Scarf
Hard candy
Gloves (sm. or medium)
Warm socks
Nail clippers
Handkerchief
Toothbrush
Chewing gum
Note paper

Christmas card (with your return address where a thank you can be sent)

WELCA meetings are open to all ladies of the congregation, so please, ladies, join us for a few hours on the second Saturday of each month. We have a fun time!
