STEPHEN MINISTRY NEWS: EIGHT ADDITIONAL STEPHEN MINISTERS COMMISSIONED
The following dedicated Stephen Ministry trainees were commissioned for a 2 year commitment on Sunday, August 24:
Jeanne Alker, Bill Everhart, Sandy Hartzell, Len Martin, Olga Sancho, Helen Snyder, Shirley Stinchcomb, and Donna Zimmerman.
They join the following dedicated Stephen Ministers who were re-commissioned: Virginia Alt, Lenny Bredthauer, Tammy Durkin, Lillian Farinholt, Debbie Knight, Diane Namuth, Cindy Parsons, Sandy Taylor, Tom Totushek, Karen Williams, and Stephen Leaders: Marjie Haab, Linda Johnsori and Carroll Paul.
Our Stephen Ministers have trained extensively in such areas as dealing with feelings, asserting oneself with gentleness and firmness and numerous other topics dealing with specific areas of helping people who are experiencing problems in their lives. They are there to meet the needs of individuals who are facing health concerns, have lost a loved one, are in a job crisis situation or find themselves in a variety of trying circumstances and are in need of one-to-one distinctively Christian caring.
Those receiving care can be certain that their identity and what goes on in the caring relationship will be kept strictly confidential.
